B.P. Marsh & Partners Plc – Directorate Change

The Board of B.P. Marsh & Partners Plc, the specialist investor in early stage financial services businesses (AIM: BPM), is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Hugh Carter as a Non-Executive Director and member of the Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee with immediate effect.

 

Nick Carter, aged 76, has over 50 years' experience in the Lloyd's Insurance Market. Nick held a variety of positions within Nelson Hurst & Marsh Limited, Citicorp Insurance Brokers and Nelson Hurst Plc acting as Chairman of the Professional Indemnity division of the latter between 1994 and 1999. Between 1999 and 2012, Nick was a consultant with both Alexander Forbes Pty. Ltd and Prime Professions Ltd.

 

The Board considers that Nick Carter's wealth of experience and network of contacts within the insurance market will provide a valuable resource to the Group.

 

Commenting on the appointment, Brian Marsh OBE, Chairman of B.P. Marsh, said:

On his appointment Nick said: “I am delighted to be joining the Board of B.P. Marsh and look forward to being involved with the expanding international business whilst taking an active interest in the overview of the Company's UK investments. As a result of a 50-year career in the Lloyd's Market I am able offer the Company my experience, specifically in all aspects of an insurance broking operation including acquisitions and disposals and I look forward to assisting in adding value and joining the exceptionally talented team.”
