Boot(Henry) PLC- Construction of Significant Urban Development

The Group's construction business, Henry Boot Construction, has been selected on two developments within the Heart of the City scheme, the cultural and social destination known as Cambridge Street Collective and Elshaw House – a brand new low-carbon office building.

Being delivered by Sheffield City Council and its Strategic Development Partner, Queensberry, the two developments will consist of a brand-new low carbon 70,000 sq ft of Grade A office space over seven floors, a 20,000 sq ft industrial-styled food hall and a 15,000 sq ft live entertainment venue.

The works are close to Henry Boot's other significant urban development scheme in Sheffield city centre, delivered by JV partners Angelo Gordon and Ridgeback Group. The Kangaroo Works is a 364- unit residential build to rent scheme. Both sites are due to commence in H1 2021.

Henry Boot is delighted to continue growing its expertise and opportunity pipeline within its three focused markets: urban development, residential, and industrial and logistics.

Simon Carr, Managing Director of Henry Boot Construction, said: “This is a strategically important urban development project for Henry Boot that will create a significant sustainable landmark in Sheffield city centre. We look forward to delivering a key part in Sheffield City Council's regeneration plans for the city.”
