Tell us about your role and what you enjoy about it.
I have a varied role in administration where I'm responsible for contracts, valuations and statements. I am also responsible for setting up new clients which I enjoy doing as this gives me the opportunity to learn more about the compliance aspect of the industry. My role also presents daily challenges that I enjoy meeting. My colleagues and clients make it pleasurable to work at James Sharp & Co.
What changes have you seen during your time at James Sharp & Co?
I joined James Sharp & Co almost 18 years ago. There have been many changes in my time here but the major change is the compliance side of business which makes all our roles more structured.
What is the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
One piece of advice I've tried to adhere to is 'don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today'. I don't believe in putting things off until later.
James Sharp & Co's offices have wonderful panoramic views of Bury – what's your favourite part?
My favourite view from our office is the sunset during the winter months. Also being so close to the train station gave us the opportunity to see the Flying Scotsman last year.
Name three things you can't live without.
I couldn't live without my family, my labrador puppy and Manchester United.
