Anna heads to Canada for scientific work with support from James Sharp
Bury Grammar School sixth former Anna Baker is travelling to Canada to carry out scientific fieldwork with a helping hand from James Sharp.
The firm is sponsoring Anna to spend three weeks on expedition in the Yukon Territory with the British Exploring Society (BES) this summer.
The economics, geography and psychology A Level student will carry out important scientific fieldwork that contributes to wide reaching projects.
The BES is an established youth development charity which promotes adventure activity as a means to personal growth.
Anna recently joined the team at James Sharp to find out more about the firm's work.
Anna said: "I'm grateful to James Sharp for their support and I was really interested to gain an insight into their industry.
"I'm excited to be heading to Canada for the first time, exploring a new place and meeting new people. I'm also hoping to learn new skills whilst contributing to the great scientific work that the BES carry out in the region."
Anna will report back to us once she's home and we look forward to hearing about her experiences. In the meantime we wish her well!
